Lyric Dubee

Biography


Award winning Canadian artist Lyric Dubee released four albums before he turned 18. Now at 20 he is back with his signature sound REVOLUTION ROCK and a new single "All This Time"!

Lyric is endorsed and supported by Ernie Ball Strings, Music Man Guitars, DV Mark Amps, Guitar Center and is part of the Brotherhood of the Guitar. He is signed to Mascot Label Group and managed by Michelle Bakker (One to One Artist Development and Management) and famed Rock Photographer Robert Knight.

Lyric released two albums in 2015: BLACK ICE and COMBAT OF LOVE, which was recorded in LA with Grammy Award winning producer Warren Huart - Aerosmith, The Fray, James Blunt. "Linger", the first single from COMBAT OF LOVE debuted at #7 on the top 50 ROCK DRT (Digital Radio Tracker) and entered the DRT USA Top 80 Independent Artists Charts at #21 and climbed to #11 on the Adult Contemporary Charts DRT. The second single "Combat of Love" debuted at #11 on the US Top 20.FM Count Down in Hollywood, California.

"100 to Zero" from BLACK ICE charted at #2 on the DRT National Airplay top 20 POP Charts. The first 3 singles garnered him awards, such as Best Young Songwriter at the Toronto Independent Music Award for "Bridge to Nowhere" and "Black Ice", Best Music Video for "Black Ice" at PLaYr York Region Film Festival, Semi-Finalist in the 2014 International Songwriting Competition (ISC) for "Bridge to Nowhere", and won Honorable Mention with the song "They Say" in the 2014 Unsigned Only Music Competition.

Lyric's music can be heard in regular rotation on various online and traditional radio stations and found on iTunes, Amazon, CDBaby, Soundcloud, Reverbnation, songza and many other sites.

Lyric has toured internationally and has opened for or shared the stage with performers such as Buddy Guy, Colin James, Rik Emmett (Triumph), Honeymoon Suite, Richie Sambora, Walk Off The Earth, David Usher, Jim Cuddy (Blue Rodeo), Lee Aaron and Carole Pope (Rough Trade) and many more talented musicians.

He has performed in music festivals such as the Malibu Guitar Festival, IndieWeek, NXNE, CMW, Djangofest, SXSW, and headlined the Music By The Bay Festival. In addition to shows in Los Angeles, New York and supporting the GoGo’s Farewell Tour with Kaya Stewart, Lyric brought his “Young & Restless” Tour to  China and Japan.
